The Death of a Family Member is a Qualifying Life Event
A member of your family has passing away is a qualifying life event. If a loved-one in your immediate family has passed, you may be eligible for a Special Enrollment Period to change your health plan.
There are a few stipulations:
- The deceased member had to have been on your health plan; and
- You must enroll within 60 days from the date of the death.
